Jamshedpur, Apr 11: Indian coach Greg Chappell showered praise on Mahendra Singh Dhoni, stating that he had enough potential for improvement if he continued to maintain his form.
 
Addressing a function organized by the Jharkhand State Cricket Association to felicitate Dhoni, the latest pin-up boy of Indian cricket and the local hero, for being the first cricketer from Jharkhand to play for the country, Chappell said Dhoni had positive attitude and played the game whole-heartedly.

“Dhoni has no false modesty and judges the situation to ably tackle it,” Chappell said, adding that he had the quality of a good leader and every time he tried to give 100 per cent.

Expressing full confidence on the swashbuckling wicket-keeper-batsman, Chappell said Dhoni would continue to improve his performance to earn accolades for the country and his home state.
 
Indian, English teams arrive in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: The India and England teams arrived here on Monday by a chartered flight for the sixth cricket one-dayer to be played at Keenan stadium here on April 12.

The Indian team, led by Virendra Sehwag, reached here sans the latest pin-up boy and local lad Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who went to Ranchi to visit his parents, Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) sources said.

Dhoni, who will be the star attraction in the match, will arrive here by this evening, the sources said.

The teams were welcomed with traditional folk dances.

The district police had a tough time in tackling the crowd which gathered outside the airport for a glimpse of the players particularly wicketkeeper-batsman Dhoni.

With his cut-outs in hand, sports lovers were disappointed at failing to have a glimpse of Mahi.

The teams were then taken to their hotel amidst tight security.
