Opposition corners government over 'silence' on arms hoarding at Attavar

Belgaum, Nov 27 (DHNS): Home Minister K J George was put on the defensive by BJP members in the Assembly, when he was asked to explain why Karnataka police did not take action when arms and ammunitions were being hoarded by supporters of Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal at Attavar in Mangalore city.

BJP member Sunil Kumar, tabling a question in this regard on Tuesday, asked why the State police or the local police failed to book a case against those found in possession of arms and explosives. The chief minister, while replying to a question by the media, had even stated that he was unaware who Yasin Bhatkal was, he pointed out.

George said the issue was sensitive and being investigated by the National Investigative Agency (NIA). Hence, the government would not like to discuss it. In his written reply, he said the internal security division officials had information regarding the connection between Yasin Bhatkal and terrorists with the coastal districts.

Daniel alias Assadulla, an associate of Bhatkal, was arrested by the NIA at flat 301 of an apartment at Attavar.

The NIA also recovered certain explosive items from him. But it is not certain whether a bomb-making unit was located in Attavar, the minister said.

To a question whether the network of terrorists from Karnataka had spread to Kerala, George said both the states had a good police network and shared intelligence information. Bhatkal is now in the custody of the Delhi police.

But Sunil Kumar again raised the question why the State police had not acted till the NIA stepped in. The minister, who had no answer, just repeated that it is a sensitive issue being investigated by a national agency and there is no need for a State agency to investigate.

As I mentioned many times earlier, KJ George will become the worst home Minister in the history of Karnataka.

In Congress, several people are eligible for this post. Any Congress MLA of South Kanara (from Ullal to Byndoor) can prove better than KJ George.

If congress wants "religious minority" for this post, make Mr. Lobo or Mr. Bawa... but please not KJ George

For a moment i was so happy reading the headlines, but kept wondering how can opposition bring the topic of Prasad Attavar in the assembly.
Only when i opened the news i realized they were referring to a different incident!

The NIA has already investigated the Attavar story of Yasin Bhatkal. Its all out in the news and media too. Yasin had also faked an ID proof to buy this house on Rent.

THe NIA is much a thorough investigation authority.

But Congratulations Sunil Kumar for placing your first question in the assembly.

Truth first..you are right except for few things
.I know personally what happened in attavar

1)Yasin Bhatkal never stayed in the apartment ,Neither did he come to rent out the apartment

2)Asadullah akthar was not caught in the appartment. He was caught with yasin bhatkal near nepal border

3)Asadullah akthar rented out the apartment in the fake name of Daniel s/o Adam.He had voters id issued in the same name and address from Pune

4)His accomplice was staying in apartments .Though he is not a indian he had voters id issued by govt of india.

    5) The moment yasin bhatkals arrest was flas
shed his accomplice ran off from the apartment .

6)NIA itself is saying that yasin bhatkal never came to Mangalore for the past 2 years

7)Apartment was rented to only daniel 7 months back as he rented it out as a MBA student studying in a institute in city.

8)There was no known local support for daniel while renting out the apartment. He alone came looking for the apartment seeing a AD.

9)Daniel was missing from the apartment two months before his arrest with yasin. When enquired his accomplice informed the owners that he has gone home for vacation.

By George what does it mean???
They be allowed to pile 'stocks of
ammunition' as if it were 'Rice Sacks' in Bunder??
    C'mon George ! Wake up...!
Or do you want George Miachel to croon...'Wake me up... before you go go go... to really wake up?

8)Though they found materials used for making explosives it was not 70-90 bombs as mentioned by some people neither it was a bomb lab.But yes explosives were there.

9)The flat was rented out after the proper rental agreement for 11 months done by a notary from Mangalore.
