Glad to know about the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Chikmagalur diocese. Reminds me of the grand celebrations 50 yrs ago under the leadership of Late Mgr. A.Fernandes- the architect of Chikmagalur diocese. The whole parish would gather in the night to hand stitch the white pendall cloth(shamiana was not heard of those days)& the decorations and electrical lighting done by local youth. The wonderful choir of more than 50-60 members(hymns in Latin and English) lead by Rev. Fr.J.B.Fernandes S.J(brother of Mgr.Fernandes) of Mumbai-well known conductor of Newman Choir! All these reminiscences are still fresh in memory. What a grand celebration that was! !.CONGRATULATIONS !
