Dubai: Milagreans Fiesta a huge success, fashion show proves cherry on top

Dubai, Nov 30: The much awaited event 'Fiesta 2013' organised by Milagreans Gulf Association Dubai (MGAD) on Friday November 29 at Al Nasr Poolside, Dubai was a huge success.

The event started at 1.30 pm in the presence of sponsors and well-wishers. MGAD president Melroy D'Souza welcomed the crowd. The Milagreans paid tribute to the late Jaison Fernandes, along with his family.

"Simple" band comprising Monica, Thusshara and team along with ace singer Lancy Moras who flew all the way from Saudi entertained the crowd with peppy numbers that added a festive mood to the occasion.

Spot games and stall games went on throughout the fiesta. "Cute Kid Santa" contest had about 20 kids dancing to the tunes of Christmas carols.

The fashion show started as scheduled at 4.30 pm. There were a total of nine female, eight male and three family contestants, all of whom put up a fantastic show in their bid to win the coveted crown.

The ramp was lit on fire with sizzling performances by all participants to the beats of DJ Shy of Symphony Syndicates. The crowd was overwhelmed by the glamour. Beauty Secrets International Ladies Parlour Spa and Academy sponsored the fashion show.

Sylvia Noronha was crowned Ms Charming, Wallace Mr Charming and Sunil Mathias & family was adjudged 'Charming Family'. The participants were crowned by esteemed judges Neha Sood and Cheryle Dias who are well associated with the fashion industry.

Karen Saldanha was the 1st runner-up and Bhagyashree Chandhan the 2nd runner-up in the female category. Kishor Limbu won the runner-up in the male category. The winners received cash vouchers and gift hampers.

Compere Ronald Olivera did an excellent job keeping everyone engaged with proceedings right through the event.

    It was an awesome event! Great show by Milagreans, first time Fashion Show of this quality and level has happened.. Totally professional.. I wish Milagreans conduct more events, so we can get together with family & friends and have fun..Love d every bit of it!

    It feels great to be a part of this very UNITED association! Program was well organised. MC Ronald Olivera did a fantastic job. Singing with Lancy Henry Moras in Dubai on a bigger stage is a DREAM COME TRUE for me and it was possible only because of Milagreans Gulf Assocation Dubai. Thanks to the Team and It was nice to sing with 'Desert Flowers' singers too along with Lancy Henry Moras.

    Could'nt witness the Chirsmas Games and Fashion Show' as we had to leave early and i really regret. Seeing the pictures it looks, everyone had a great time during these sessions.. Wowww… Milagreans, indeed a great Fun and Entertainment. Me on behalf of Lancy Henry Moras, Thushara Kuruvitage, Josepah Mathias. Ashok Menezes, Nisha Sequeria & Monisha Rasquinha, would like to congratulate you on this successful event.. and may Almighty God Bless you always..
