Udupi, Apr 21: "We have decided to start 9 more pre-university colleges in the state. Among these 7 colleges will be started in district centres where there are no government colleges," said state higher education minister D H Shankarmurthy.
He was speaking to the reporters after visiting the government university college for girls at Ajjarkad here on Thursday April 20.
He hailed the efforts of the college managing committee in developing the college into one of the model colleges in the state.
His cabinet colleague Dr V S Acharya, MLA K Raghupati Bhat and in-charge deputy commissioner R Shantraj were also present on the occasion.
