Dubai, Dec 8: Mogachi Lahran Naach Baila Naach Season 2 audition and elimination rounds were held at Brainbox Institute, Karama (Feat Beat group), Dubai recently. Altogether, 12 couples attended the audition for the baila dance, out of which 6 best couples were selected. These 6 couples will perform on December 13 at Al Safa Hall, besides JSS School, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai and compete with each other for the title of Baila King and Baila Queen.
This year Mogachi Lahran is all set to present a double entertainment bonanza to the Konkani speaking people of UAE. With the baila dance contest, an additional delight awaits everyone. The first ever Konkani Laughter Challenge will be a special attraction of the evening, for which the auditions were held on December 6 at Brainbox Institute, Karama, Dubai. Three best participants were selected for the finals from these and they will compete with each other for the title of “Fokananche Sardar”.
Speaking to Daijiworld, founder of Mogachi Lahran, Vincent Fernandes said, "This time we have very good response from dancers and comedy artistes. We had a tough time selecting the finalists. The entertainment this time will be definitely double and will attract a huge crowd like last year."
Mogachi Lahran has been hosting one or two events every year, and is among the few groups in the Gulf to provide professional shows involving its members. There have been instances of even hosting two events in a year and releasing musical albums too.
The recent achievement of the group is the webcast of the first-ever Konkani web-serial, produced and directed by Vincent Fernandes, founder of Mogachi Lahran.
This time, the organisers have arranged a non-veg dinner pack for every person who attends the programme. The entry pass costs just AED 50 including dinner pack.
