Mangalore, Dec 8: The members of the city unit of BJP on Sunday December 8 came together at Pumpwell to celebrate their party's landslide victories in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and the unseating of Congress in Delhi. The counting of votes for the Assembly elections in these states, as well as in Chhattisgarh, was held on Sunday.

The party workers also took out a rally from BJP office to Navabharat circle and back to their office.

Addressing the media, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “This is great achievement by the BJP. People who are fed up with the corruption of  the Congress government have blessed the BJP under the leadership of Narendra Modi."

He added, "Modi effect worked in all the four states. This victory is because of the failure of the Congress government and inefficient governance by the PM, and the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi."

MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik said, "The victories in the four states show that this is the beginning of a new era and vision, and an end to dynastic rule in India. Because of bad governance by the Congress, people chose BJP. Moreover, people have been looking forward to good leadership from many years and now their wish is coming true. People are expecting a clean and transparent government in the country. People are looking for a great change ahead and this is its beginning. I congratulate all party workers of the nation, the state and the district."

MLC Monappa Bhandary said, “This is the end of Congress rule. There is no chance of Congress coming to power in future. Congress will vanish completely. In Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh people have blessed BJP for the third time."

Addressing the gathering of jubilant party members president of Mangalore BJP unit Srikar Prabhu said, "We deserve this victory. We are very happy to see BJP come out with flying colours."

Former BJP MLA Yogish Bhat said, "We want India to be free of Congress. People want to see an end to corruption and corrupt practices followed by the Congress."

The party members distributed sweets and burst crackers in celebration.

Sudhir Shetty, Nithin Kumar, Pushpalatha Gatti, Capt Brijesh Chowta, Sathish Prabhu, Roopa D Bangera, local unit Yuva Morcha president Sandeep Shetty, former Yuva Morch president Raghavendra Rao, treasurer Kiran Rai and others were present.

All [parties are free to celebrate their victory. But it should be noted that there should not be a nuisance to the public. The victory celebration of BJP was o the road in the pumpwell circle. Very inconvenient for the public. A huge traffic block and a lot of crackers o the road. Vehicles were diverted towards the pedestrian path while celebrations on the road. Who is to stop all these. No rules no regulations. Beautiful Mangalore

This Victory of BJP is a warning bell to the Congress. Congress always talks about the poor but the schemes rolled out at the last 6 months of their rule, They talk big about minority instead of General public. Congress talks about the youth but they give tickets only to grey haired. Congress talks about women but they can not put enough women candidates. Congress still in 1960's. They have to realise that now we are in 2013. Finally I thank the public who voted this time for a change.

Sorry dear whatever you say reflects your frustrations. There is no way. Congress has to accept the defeat. How long people can be fooled with pseudo secularism. This is a verdict of people against mammoth corruption done by congress which has reflected on our economy. The rape of women in day light, Himalayan heights of corruption and inflation has made congress to bite the dust.

When people can not digest the defeat, they think what to ink on Daiji's comments section. then they scribble about what the Gora has to with celebration!
Congies, pls take rest for a few days.
Dont get urselves blamed for this defeat. its your lead family's links to corruption that made people avert from voting Congress. If you really want to come to the forefront again, let leaders like sachin pilot, jyothiraditya sindhya, bhairegowda, Khader etc should be given a chance to lead!
