Bangalore: No Modi wave in India, says Siddaramaiah

Bangalore, Dec 8 (PTI): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today dismissed Narendra Modi wave in the country in the wake of BJP doing well in Assembly elections held in Rajasthan, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.

"There is no Modi wave (in India). In fact there is no connection between Modi and states gone in for Assembly polls. Problems related to states are different from those haunting the nation," he told reporters on the sidelines of an interactive event held by Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) here.

The poll results in these three states would not have any impact over the prospects of Congress party in the state when it goes for Lok Sabha elections next year, Siddaramaiah stated.

He said there are ups and downs in politics and it is time for Congress to set right the wrongs committed.

"The people have given the verdict and we have to accept it," Siddaramaiah said.

Earlier addressing FKCCI members, Siddaramaiah said his government was for the development of industry and committed to providing facilities.

"Siddaramaiah is 100 per cent not against the development of industry in Karnataka. I am with industry and will be with it," he added.

On energy front, Siddaramaiah said Karnataka plans to achieve the target of producing 4,000 MW.

He also said government is considering reducing Value Added Tax in the state.

Dear Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka:
You will feel the Modi wave only after Lok Sabha elections in 2014. Once the elections are over, then all the national leaders of Congress from Karnataka will return back to Bangalore and that too completely jobless. Then you will feel the actual Modi wave. This is the foolishness of Karnataka electorate. They always voted opposition in center to power in the state and vice versa. For Yeddy it was Ananth Kumar etc., who were playing spoil sport behind the back and for Siddu soon it will be Kharge et al who would want to be relevant in the state...and the drama in Vidhana Soudha will continue from where Yeddy left. Enjoy the break till then.

People have voted for the BJP unanimously and locally. This is due to the bad governance of the congress in the 4 states.

The fact is we do not have good opposition to rule the centre. The UPA govt has taken things lightly after 9 years of rule, and he nation wants a change.
Due to lack of parties that can take the country forward, opposition will do this as a CAKE walk.

CM Siddu, don't be a fool, the result in 4 states is against Congress led UPA's bad governance, corruption, they will never recover in 4 months time when lok sabha elections are announced, the present elections were mostly fought on state issues, but cannot rule out the Modi wave, as he was the chief campaigner in all 4 states, but definitely there is no Modi wave in Delhi, voters of Delhi are wise and sensible, they have given a fitting reply to both Congress and BJP- don't take us for granted, we don't trust both of you, and given their full support to clean, honest, non corrupt AAP (Aam Admi Party). This is the clear message for Mr. Modi and Mr. Rahaul Gandhi, the two PM Candidates, as far as Sheila dixit is concerned she was more corrupt, useless filthy politician who was having a blind eye to all the problems like rape, murders, corruption scams etc in Delhi for past so many years. no doubt she lost terribly in her own strong congress constituency, she thought she will triumph.

CM Siddu, your minority pleasing cheap anna bhagya, shaadi bhagya etc wont work. BJP is uniting in Karnataka, BS Yedurappa will be back in that party, Aam Admi party is also putting up candidates in every constituency, which will have a terrible impact on your Congress party as well as your CM chair. So watch out, before giving stupid statements. The latest survey also shows that most of the Kannadigas are not impressed and happy with your govt, especially Hindu community, so work harder than giving silly statements.

In Madhya Pradesh no one can shake Shivraj Singh Chowhan due to his hard work. He has increased his tally by 10 seats during this election. It is sad to see people give credit Modi for this success. No doubt people want a change. There is Modi wave in some parts of India but it is wrong to say it's completely 100% Modi wave at least in Madhya Pradesh. By giving credit Modi in Madhya Pradesh, you guys are degrading Shivraj Singh Chouhan. We need a strong leader to lead India for 2014 for Lok Sabha elections. And Narendra Modi is a strong contender for the post of PM. If there is Modi wave in Delhi, then why BJP didn't get majority to form it's own government? AAP is the true winner in Delhi. In Rajasthan it was a poor performance of Gehlot government. In Chattisgarh, BJP managed to win due to Raman Singh's good work for all these years. I don't think any Modi wave in all these four states. But yes, for 2014 central elections, there will be really Modi wave and BJP will be able to get more seats to outclass UPA.
