Udupi, Dec 11: Here is an example of crime reaching its lowest level. A man who came to a studio near Kidyoor Hotel for getting a picture of his pet dog taken reportedly vandalised the studio for being turned down.

Joy Pereira came to the studio with his pet dog and asked the studio photographer to click its picture. However, the photographer refused saying that it was against studio's policies to click photos of animals.

Angered by his refusal, Joy allegedly vandalised the studio banner, board and some equipment causing a loss of Rs 10,000. Not satisfied with only vandalising, Joy even threatened Mariswamy, the photograher and his owner too !

Studio owner then lodged a complaint with the Udupi city police.

One wonders, have humanity and human values gone to the dogs?

What is the Big Deal in getting a Dog's Photograph. We see Dog's in Movies, Dog's in Competition, Dog's with Police Officers,Dog's in the Military, Dog's in our house and Dog's in Space. Look at the picture of the Recording company HMV, His Master's Voice, it is a Dog's picture. Dog is the man's best friend and more faithful than humans. Dog never leaves his Master.

You are correct. I have seen in movies or any English serial that dogs are inside their house and even on their bed. But some one's dog enters my bedroom I will not accept it. Same way may be Studio owner won't accept someone's dog in his studio.... What you say Mr. Mendonca?????

Vandalizing, causing a loss, and threatening is a crime when a Studio does not accept.

I understand your point, what If a dog is trained and if it is a licensed service dog.

International Traveling with your Service Dog by Air. The Airlines office says

Mr. Pereira himself is a dog that is why he vandalized the studio. Well done Mr. Mariswamy, studio is only for human beings not for animals. The police department should take stern action against dog and company.

May be this person was affected by rabies contacted through his dog. In this present situation when people are equipped with cameras and phones where they can click pictures, why he had to go to the studio for his pet's picture? If it is the policy of the studio not to click pictures of animals, it is his right and who is this person to demand a change and in turn vandalize the studio? Truly a lunatic.

I did not like the last para: "Have humanity and human values gone to the dogs". The statement is an insult to dogs. Human's like Joy have no humanity and human values. There is a saying "To be faithful is canine but to betray is human". Dogs will not be like humans but definitely human's will behave like wild animals.

Joy's days of joys will be over if he is made to sit in the lockup for a few days.
When he pays up for all the damage and stays behind bars for a few days, he will wonder why he did not buy his own camera and clicked a picture of his pet which he could have then handed over to the studio for printing.
