Mangalore, Apr 27: Basti Vasudeva Shenoy (78), partner of Basti Purushottam Shenoy and Sons, a reputable arecanut trading firm located at Bunder here, passed away at home in Shaktinagar on Wednesday, April 26.

He is survived by wife, two sons and two daughters. He took keen interest in Konkani-related activities.

As a mark of respect for the departed colleague, all arecanut traders downed their shutters on Wednesday.
