Udupi, Apr 28: A young man Ramesh died here on Thursday April 27 after being electrocuted by a high voltage wire while working on the top of a temple tower at Kome near Thekkate.
The incident occurred at around 2 pm. Ramesh, who fell from the tower landed on a pile of bricks and sustained grave injuries on the head. Though the onlookers immediately rushed him to the hospital he died on the way.
A resident of Sigehalli of Shimoga, Ramesh was a mason and the only son to his parents. After his father’s death he was the sole support for his family.
A case has been registered with the Kota police.
