Mangalore, Apr 28: Ashok alias Mudda, the prime accused in the sensational Dhanyakumar murder case has been granted bail by the District Second Additional Sessions Court.

Dhanyakumar, the then hereditary trustee of Shri Kodamanittay Temple at Aremale Betta in Beltangady taluk was brutally murdered near the KPTCL office at Padyar-Majal of Kuvettu in Beltangady on January 2, 2005 by Ashok and his accomplices.

The other accused in the case, Rajesh Devadiga alias Cable Raja, Vishwa alias Whistle Vishwa, Vijay, Lalita, Chidanand, Prema, Dayanand, Prema and Gopalkrishna had already been released on bail.
