Mangalore, Apr 29: Deputy commissoner Dr H V Parshwanath has issued an order to ban the sell of liquor in the Dakshina Kannada - Kerala border areas on view of assembly elections and counting in Kerala.

Accordingly sale of all kind of liquor has been banned in parts of Mangalore, Puttur, Bantwal and Sullia taluks which are within a distance of 5 kilometres from Kerala border. 

Liquor sell is banned from 12 am on Monday May 1 to 12 am on Wednesday May 3 and from 8 am on Thursday May 11 to 12 in the midnight.
