Kundapur, Apr 30: Sachin B Kottary (21), who won the first place in the recently-held powerlifting championship in Bangalore, passed away in a tragic road accident in Bidadi on the outskirts of Bangalore on April 26, family sources have said.
He is the son of B Shekhar Kottary, businessman and social worker from Bannerlakatte near Mandarti in Udupi district. He was an old student of Barali Manya School and Vivek PU College, Kota. Currently, he was studying engineering in Ghousia Engineering College in Ramanagar near Bangalore.
Sachin was riding a bike with his friend Shakib, who too was injured and now under treatment in hospital.
Sachin was not only proficient in athletics but also brilliant in studies. He leaves behind parents and a sister.
