Bantwal, May 2: Fifteen people were injured in a series of collisions between 7 vehicles on Sunday night at Kalladka.

A jeep driver who lost control on the vehicle collided into a Scorpio parked on the road side and rammed into two auto rickshaws and four motorbikes. Those traveling in the auto rickshaw and the jeep have been admitted to the hospital.

Santosh, Suresh, Santosh D’Cunha, Rohit, Umesh Shetty, Gopal Kulal, Praveen Fernandes, Narayan, Sashidar, Surendra and two others who were in the jeep along with a one-year-old baby Sristi.

The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Mangalore and in Puttur.

Those in the jeep were returning after attending the wedding of the brother of Rathnakar Shetty the owner of Vaishali Hotel Kalladka. The wedding was held in Farangipet. It is said that reckless driving led to this accident.
