Mangalore, May 2: Noted Kannada, Tulu writer and journalist Hamza Malar has been chosen for the prestigious "Lankesh Award - 2005".
His collection of stories "Adarache Oore Illa" (There is no Town Land Beyond That) in Kannada won him the Lankesh Award in the literary competition organized by Karnataka Sangha of Shimoga recently.
Hamza Malar is already a noted journalist and writer. He had been conferred with Muslim Literary Award recently for another literary work "Arabastanada Kathegalu". He has also written more than 25 stories, novels etc.
