Mangalore, May 3: The lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony of the first year nursing students of Karavali College was held at the college premises on Tuesday May 2.


The ceremony was inaugurated by Dr K P Putturaya, director and advisor, research and development department of Rajeev Gandhi Health Science University.  In his inaugural address he called on the nursing students to accept nursing as vocation rather than profession.” Do not only see the monitory benefits of becoming a nurse but inculcate humane and moral values which will make you successful not only as a professional but also as human being," he added.

The programme was presided over by G R Trust founder president Ganesh Rao.  Prof Suzan Anand Jyoti Putturaya of Yenepoya College was the chief guest of the programme.
