Mangalore, May 4: Dr Akhter Hussain, head of the Orthodontics department, Yenepoya Dental College, has been invited to attend the 106th annual session of American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) at Las Vegas from Friday May 5 to Tuesday May 9. He will be representing Indian Orthodontics Society (IOS) at the meet.
Dr Akhter, IOS president, is expected to make a preliminary bid of intention to conduct the World Orthodontics Congress 2015 in India at the World Federation of Orthodontics meet which will also be held at Las Vegas. The Congress, which holds a convention every five years, is scheduled to be convened in one of the South-east Asian countries in 2015.
The AAO meet will focus on recent advances in implant assisted orthodontics. Renowned specialists in implantology from all over the world will be putting forward the latest discoveries and discuss the future trends in Orthodontics.
