Bangalore, May 4: Former president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee B. Janardhana Poojary, MP, on Wednesday questioned the secular credentials of Janata Dal (Secular) president H.D. Deve Gowda, and alleged Mr. Gowda had changed his stand on issues such as the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC), the Bangalore Metro Rail and sanctioning of lands in and around Bangalore for private firms.

Addressing presspersons here, Mr. Poojary criticised Mr. Deve Gowda for allowing his son, H.D. Kumaraswamy, to form a coalition government with the Bharatiya Janata Party, which he had been criticising. Mr. Deve Gowda, who had written to former Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh opposing the execution of BMIC and metro rail projects, had not written to Mr. Kumaraswamy though the Government was going ahead with the projects, he added.

He said there was no consistency in Mr. Deve Gowda's stand on infrastructure projects.
