Mangalore, May 5: Lovina Christabel (20), a second year B A student ended her life by consuming poison on Thursday May 4.
Lovina was doing her second year of B A in one of the prestigious colleges of the city. She hailed from Hassan and was staying in a paying guest at Bejai. She had consumed poison on Friday April 14.
Following this she was admitted to A J Hospital in the beginning. However, on May 1 she was shifted to Wenlock Hospital. But she breathed her last on Thursday May 4.
Though the exact reasons for her suicide are not known, the sources said that she had facing financial problems to continue her studies. Her mother Shanta Victor confirmed this. She also said that Lovina suffered from acute ache in the stomach which even might have pushed her to commit suicide.
