Moodbidri, May 6: While the Elyer nite at Karkala on Saturday April 29 evening was a huge success, the second nite on the following day, that is, Sunday April 30 did not lack behind in enthralling the Konkani music buffs of Alangar and around.

There is no doubt that Elyer nite is gradually but steadily becoming one of the premier entertainments in Konkani with melodious songs, side-splitting jokes, dazzling dances and not to forget lively and unique way of compering by Elyer himself.

All this was in full display at Alangar on Sunday evening.  The as usual melodious songs with sharp and straight-from-the-heart lyrics were well accompanied by music by Roshan D'Souza Angelore and his group.  Eye-catching dance performances by Thunder Guys, Bajpe and hilarious jokes by Wilfy Mascarenhas and group kept the audience glued to the chair to the end.

Melwyn Lewis was the main sponsor of the nite.  He was honoured on the occasion. Alangar parish priest Fr Vincent D'Souza who celebrating 25 years of his ordination, and music director Roshan D'Souza were also honoured on the occasion.


Vitori Karkala and Rony Fernandes of Sangati Media, Fr Lawrence Martis were also present on the occasion
