Mangalore, May 6: Kripa Amar Alva has been unanimously elected as the Multiple Council chairperson (Multiple district 324) at the Multiple Council meet held at Atrai Hotel, Bangalore recently.

The 29 Lions district deputy governors elected Kripa Alva as chairperson for 2006-07.

Kripa who earlier bagged the honour of being the only lady district governor in the year, now has the fame of being the first women council chairperson.
