Mangalore, Jan 2: In view of the forthcoming 2014 general elections, the local unit of Aam Aadmi Party has invited interested individuals to join the party and requested the general public to give their suggestions to help the party formulate its manifesto for Mangalore Lok Sabha constituency.

Addressing a press meet here on Thursday January 2, AAP district convener Dharmendra said that interested individuals can join the party during a membership programme to be held on January 13 at 10:30 am in  BEM school auditorium, Car Street. AAP state convener Siddharth Sharma will be present.

The citizens of Dakshina Kannada can send their views and suggest action plans with regard to infrastructure, healthcare, education, trade, commerce and industry. "Suggestions can be sent to aapdkunit@gmail.com which will be consolidated to frame the manifesto specifically to the district. This is an exercise which is first of its kind in the constituency and will help the Aam Aadmi Party to understand the needs and aspirations of the people of the coastal region," the AAP stated in a press release.

District advisory committee member S Nandagopal said that the present government has been making fake promises, but AAP will strive to deliver its promises.

Highlighting a few of the major issues, he said, "The Supreme Court has already ordered that Aadhar card is not mandatory for subsidised gas connections, but the gas companies and the petroleum minister are making it compulsory. Money estimated in crores is being misappropriated. These ministers and gas companies are neglecting the order given by the court. The daily needs of people are increasing because of this and it has to stop."

On issue of safety of women in the district, he said, "We often hear about women getting abused and children being molested. No political party has expressed its sympathy on this issue, but our party will fight to ensure better safety for women. AAP will soon discuss the issue with authorities concerned to chalk out an appropriate solution on the issue. AAP will persist on its demand for CBI inquiry in Sowjanya murder case and also stern action against the criminal elements involved in the kidnap and rape of a student at Deralakatte.

"AAP strongly opposes the Yettinahole project which will render the Netravati river completely depleted causing devastating impact on the coastal eco-system and also on the Western Ghats which is considered among global ecological hot spots. AAP demands staying the tendering process of the works to be undertaken as part of the project and constitute a neutral experts committee comprising of environmental sciences and strategists who will study and assess the actual impact of the project," he added.

In a press statement, the AAP also demanded constitution of ward committees in MCC to ensure better functioning of the corporation machinery, adding that it would soon discuss the matter with the DC. The party also called for a white paper on KUDCEMP (Karnataka Urban Development and Coastal Environment Management Project), regarding the present status of the works under the project, the amount spent, the repayment terms and conditions and the burden of the tax-paying citizens of Mangalore. It also opposed the Niddodi power project and demanded a public hearing by the government on the matter.

Joint advisory convenor Harsha Samraj and joint secretary Ajay Kumar were present.

Good news for the people of D.K. in general and Mangalore in particular. Corruption is deep rooted in almost all Govt offices in Mangalore.AAP should take initiative to curb the corruption and put the corrupt officers behind bars.AAP should note the pathetic condition of the
roads in the city and also the highways, signal lights etc. There is no drianage connections in several places of Mangalore city. There is no Mayor in Mangalore city corporation as there is infight among the Congress corporators,AAP should fight the next Corporation election to send home the corrupt Congress and BJP corporators home.
Ministers and MLAs are busy cutting the ribbons and delivering big speeches!AAP is the only hope and the alternative for Congress and BJP.Thousands of youngsters and students should join AAP.

My suggestion would be catch hold of all the insurance companies, who attract individuals to go for insurance and when the people in need they turn deaf ears and making people run around like mad dogs to claim the insurance and at the same time to get 25,000 people has to spend another 10,000 which is really nasty and disrespectful towards person who needs this help very badly in difficult situation... when they come to you they make lot of promises but at the hour of need, they (agents or company ) put lot of condition and run away from the comman man's need and reality. It is shame!

It doesnt mean that the existing people in Mangalore are not good. We have seen our roads, Bridges , Government Schools, hospitals so on.The good people could not give good service through existing parties. SO now there is opportunity for a sincere person to
    offer good service

    Dear Citizens of India,
AAP is an opportunity for every visionary individual, who dream for freedom from independence since 1947.
Our priority is not limited to 2 kg rice per day or 1 ltr Kerosene per week. Our priority must be much much higher. We need to push ourselves into the lifestyle of the 22nd century. To achieve this, we need, affordable and future building education/training facilities, Infrastructure development, Rapid Healthcare/Sanitation facilities, affordable higher education, Reservation without compromising quality/performance criteria, Reservation to be based on economical grounds, not on cast/creed etc, All Government payments by e money, Compulsory Adaar card for every citizen, including NRIs, Social security system for Senior citizens etc etc... Politics should no longer be a business for a few individuals rather it must be a business of every citizen. Let us demand, let us evaluate, let us exchange feedback, stop brain drain, value our own human resource and introduce measures for its safe keep, appreciation and deployment in every sphere of economic development.
Once again, AAP is an opportunity for everyone. Let us become responsible to cast our right to reject, exercise our voting right without option, because there is an option to vote for NOTA (NONE OF THE ABOVE) if the contesting candidates are not your choice.

Let us work together from now itself, so we can build a better tomorrow for our next generation, who are anxiously looking at us.
    Jai Hind.......

Dear AAP offer food, electricity, housing, medical all at free of cost and offer tax free salary also to the Mangalore people. So it will help the jobless youth in Mangalore to engage themselves in moral policing full time every day. And every day they can do road show in the name of protest and damage the public property and intervene in everybody's personal life.
At present it is very difficult to find the labour for construction work, agricultural work. Also it is very hard to get transport also in some emergency cases. If your govt come to the power, people have to struggle to get all these services, as everybody going to become so lazy.

    Dear AAP
We don't expect Freebies. Focus on how to create jobs to earn. First and foremost please try to remove the biggest injustice of all, "Caste based reservations" from everything. Reservation should strictly be economic based irrespective of caste to help the people who are in dire need. Do not try to appease any Particular community and do vote bank politics. No need of giving assurance to anyone, all are well in the society. Its just political parties first want to create insecurity situations, they fuel it and then come as rescuers. Please do a proper background check of the person you wish to project as your candidate. He should not have any criminal background, he or his close relatives should not be affiliated with any party or party members. Look for a face who has some identity in the region for his selfless services to the society to be the party candidate for elections. A known face will be advantage compared to some unknown commoner. Its may not be that easy for AAP to get going in South India, but atleast other political parties will also wake up now and choose a better candidate to represent them.

1.Do you give everything 'free'? or is there minimum fee?
2.Power, Water o.k. ...have you also thought of providing a 'Aam Aurat' to an Aam Admi? Here Aam means 'Mango like' .. okay? Not 'common' like in 'Hindi Aam '...Please do not confuse...Aam and also calm...(English Calm)Then Aam Aadmi won't have much problem....C'mon then anybody won't have any problem....Think about it in your manifesto okay...
    3. Gas issue is correct....This district faces 'Gas Trouble' often!
Please include it's eradication in your manifesto...
4.Build some 25 parks for lovers, joggers and hoggers separately o.k.? Also some 25 ice-cream parlours more for above and 'extra' categories for peace will be maintained here ...o.K.?
    5. Take firm stand on Arecanut as well as some other 'Nuts' also o.k. Bolts can be dealt with later..
6.Newly married should stay together for at least 5 years o.k....Why this in Manifesto?Simply ..o.k..For a change...
Genreal: i) See that MCC has a Mayor also and so on....
    Suggestion List becoming big...Stopping o.k.?

All the seasoned parties are used to corrupt practices since decades. Now also fighting to grab power and NOT for serving people. If there is any honest person or persons should join for a cleaner India. The present situation may take very long to change, as experienced till date. Most parties are on dynasty politics and they want their family members to rule the respective state and in some cases, on national level only.
