Mangalore, May 6: Four first year students of St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor (SJEC) here have won accolades for themselves at a prestigious state-level contest.

Thair Naquash, Oxford Rebello, Sachin Monterio and Shown V M Lewis, all electrical and electronics engineering students of SJEC have won the first place at the state level Electrical and Electronics Engineering (UG) Students Technical Paper Presentation contest, Electrovision - 06.


The event, sponsored by Nitte Education Trust, Mangalore was held on April 29, 2006 at NMAMIT, Nitte and was organized by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte.
 
The students presented a technical paper on “Simulation of Steady State and Dynamic Analysis of Polyphase Induction Motor,” prepared under the guidance of M Satyendra Kumar Shet, associate professor Department of E&E Engg, SJEC.
