Mangalore, May 6 [10 pm IST]: The end result of reckless driving can be fatal. This is proved again in the road accident, which took place at Nandigudde here in the evening.

A city bus, which was recklessly driven rammed into a Maruthi car at Nandigudde circle at around 8 pm on Saturday. The collision had left over 15 persons injured while those in the car are said to be injured seriously.

The No 15 bus, which left Mangaladevi bus stop for Suratkal, was at a great speed when it approached the Mannagudde circle.

Eyewitnesses state that the accident was caused because of rash driving by the bus driver. The Maruti car, which was plying towards Mangaladevi was severely damaged in the collision.
 

Once the bus bumped into the car it also rammed into a roadside tree, which prevented it from falling into a deep trench. The condition of those in the car is still unknown. The injured have been admitted to the neighbouring hospital.
