Mangalore : Minister's humanitarian approach to help needy Shivaraju

Mangalore : Minister's humanitarian approach to help needy Shivaraju

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Jan 5: Health minister U T Khadar, who is known for reaching out to common people despite holding a top position has once again proved that he is the people's man, by offering to provide free medical treatment to 17-year-old Shivaraju from Mysore.

Shivaraju, who lost both parents when he was a child, lives in Chamarajanagara in Mysore. At the age of seven, due to some kind of back pain, he had undergone treatment but it affected his legs and the right leg had to be amputated to save his life. Three years ago the pain developed in his other leg too, and he underwent the operation in Ramaiah hospital in Bangalore. But now, the doctor has advised him to amputate the other leg too, as it could harm his life. Unable to bear the medical expenses, and with not may relatives and friends around him, he decided to approach health minister UT Khadar. He tried to meet him the minister in Mysore last week, but by the time he reached the minister's programme, Khadar had left for Mangalore. Shivaraju did not lose his hopes, and with the help some persons he knew in Mangalore, he travelled here by train.

On Saturday, Shivaraju met Khadar. The response by the minister was appreciated by many here, as the boy was allowed to meet him directly without waiting unlike some other ministers who take hours or days to give their appointments!

After patiently listening to the problems of Shivaraju, Khadar immediately directed his secretary to get Shirajau admitted to Sanjay Gandhi hospital in Bangalore by Monday January 6. He even issued a recommendation letter to the hospital management, and also urged the staff to take his full care as the boy does not have anyone to look after him except his grandmother.

Khadar also gave his personal mobile number to the boy to contact him if he faces any problem in the process.

Khadar's instant humanitarian approach touched the hearts of many who were present at the circuit house when Shivaraju came to meet him.

Can Khadar be a role model to all the ministers in Karnataka as well other states in the country?

    Hello guys.
What is the point of being appreciated in this regard. In fact, my opinion being a minister he must form committees and sub-committees in each every districts of our state to monitor similar cases and bring them in to real action. Let us must not forget that he is the chief of entire health and family welfare issues of our state. We all know that how big is our state, and here we have only one shivaraju in front of us. Can you imagine,????????????. We need action not hopes. I hope May Allah the almighty bestow Mr. Khader to work with sincere and honesty.

Good wishes to Mr.U.T.Khadar. A big or rich person do not wish to visit to the unknown poor suffering family because of selfishness, may be having thought of they have to give something to them so they avoid. Big people also do not give heed or listen to the poor people cry, some times treat them they only slaves or show no respect to them. Rich or poor need respect each other person. The Health Minister Khader reaches every one is a sign of selfless service. May God give you good wisdom and Grace so that you may reach many more people so that you may have real joy doing so and improve our society. With best wishes & regards.

Only work with genuine love benefits the self and the society.
Lot knowledge, faith in God and gift of prophesy etc. without genuine love will simply vanish without any benefit as quoted in scriptures.

Usually I don't believe in politicians because of the frauds committed by our earlier politicians. I really hate when ministers eat and enjoy tax payers money. However UT Khader is going to rewrite the history. He is doing great jobs. He is doing his duty in a more meaningful ways. Wish him all the best so that common man will get more benefit from the government through him. Friends let us build a healthy online community where we will salute the good things and same time dare to point the wrong things whoever it may be forgetting party, religion.
