Mangalore, May 9: The Indian delegation to the World Treenut Convention being held at Montreal, Canada from May 12 to 14 will be led by Cashew Export Promotion Council of India Chairman Walter D'Souza.
The convention has been organised by the International Nut Council (INC) headquartered in Spain and will discuss issues such as food and health promotion, consumer welfare, organic farming, value addition, upgrading technology, research and development, packaging and farming.
Walter will be presenting the Indian view-points on the cashew industry and exports. He further stated that the Montreal convention will be a launch-pad to register maximum participation for the first ever global buyer-seller meet scheduled at Trivandrum in September 2006.
