Mangalore, May 10: All the accused in setting ablaze a vehicle transporting  cattle on Pavanje Bridge a few days ago have been granted bail by the District Sessions Court.

The Bajrangdal activists had set on fire a Tata Sumo vehicle after stopping it on Pavanje Bridge in the early hours of Thursday April 27.  The activists had also assaulted three persons who were transporting cattle from Kundapur to the city.

The police had arrested Bajrangdal activists Sundar, Unnikrishan, Srikant Kulur, Rajesh Shetty and Ramchandra in this regard.  However, they have now been granted bail by the court after they argued that the vehicle used in the present case had been caught earlier too in similar cases and the persons involved in the present case too were involved in similar cases earlier.
