Mangalore, May 11: It’s JDS-BJP administration even at the Mangalore Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC). The new office bearers for the committee were formed on Wednesday, May 10 at the meeting of the committee at its head office here at Baikampady.

JDS supported Karinje Krishnaraj Hegde of Moodbidri region was elected president of APMC while BJP backed Savitri Menda of Bantwal region was elected vice-president.

Hedge is a prominent person Moodbidri area and has been holding posts in several taluk, district and state-level organizations.

Congress backed 6 candidates, BJP backed 1 and Janata Dal (S) backed 7 candidates were in the fray at the elections.
