Kasargod: Police seize four kg of ganja, arrest man

Kasargod, Jan 13: The Kasargod police on Monday January 13 arrested a person with four kilograms of ganja.

The arrested is identified as Thiruvananthapuram resident T Francis (38). 

He was arrested on the basis of information that he was transporting ganja from Kollam to Kasargod to deliver it to a person. He was travelling by Ernad Express train. 

Two bags containing four kg of ganja, a mobile phone, Rs 800 cash, and identity card are seized from him.  Francis has said that he was being paid Rs 4,000 for delivery of ganja.

He was arrested by a police team led by town police inspector T Uttamdas. Francis was on his way to deliver ganja for the second time when he was caught, police said.
