Mangalore, May 12: "The Mick Max nite organized by diocesan Christian Life Community (CLC) on Sunday May 21 evening will be held as scheduled and there will not be any changes," said Stephen Quadros Permude, diocesan CLC president.

Speaking exclusively to Daijiworld, Stephen said that many had raised apprehensions about the Mick Max nite after Mic Max had taken seriously ill and was hospitalized.  "The apprehensions were higher after his sudden demise.  Some even asked as whether the nite would be cancelled.  But we have decided to go ahead with the 'nite' as scheduled.  Perhaps this would be a fitting tribute to one of the greatest showmen of Konkani," said he.

Accordingly the Mick Max nite will be held on May 21 evening at the Town Hall here at 5.30. Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore, Sr Doreen, superior general of Ursuline Franciscan Sisters (UFS), M P Noronha, advocate and Ivan D'Souza DCC vice president will be the chief guests on the occasion.

Along with the popular singers of Konkani, Konkani Sahitya Academy president and Mick Max's long-time associate in the musical field Eric Ozario and Joyce Ozario too will lend their voices to some of the melodious compositions of Mick Max.  "Sangeet Guru" Joel Pereira will provide the background musical score for the concert.
