Saudi Arabia hikes aid to Syrians


Kuwait, Jan 15 (IANS/WAM): Saudi Arabia has increased its humanitarian aid for the Syrian people by $60 million to a total of $250 million.

Saudi Minister of Finance, Ibrahim Al-Assaf, addressing the second Donors Conference for the Syrian People that got under way in Kuwait Wednesday, said his country has increased its financial assistance for the Syrian people by $60 million to $250 million.

According to the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, Al-Assaf said that Saudi Arabia has been keen on offering all kinds of support for Syrian refugees, and he praised the role of Kuwait in hosting the conference, as well as its relentless support for the Syrian people.
