Kundapur, May 14: A private bus carrying passengers plunged into a river at Hemmadi, Byndoor here on Saturday, May 13.

As many as 13 passengers were injured when a bus fell into a river while overtaking another vehicle.

The mishap occurred when the bus driver hit another bus while trying to overtake a motorbike on the bridge. The bus driver lost control and the bus plunged into the river.

The bus was on its way to Kundapur town from Byndoor.

The injured were admitted to the neighbouring hospital and the bus was fished out of the river with the help of the local people.
