Mangalore, Jan 19: "Today Hindu religion is facing several challenges and attacks from various quarters. Kashmir Pandits are thrown out from Kashmir, and in their own country they have been living as refugees. Our politicians are appeasing the minorities for the purpose of vote bank. Though the Hindus are being attacked in several ways, no one speaks of the injustice faced by Hindus," said Mohan Gowda spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

He was addressing an awareness meet on Hindu religion held at SDM Law College here on Sunday January 19.

"Our religion as well as our country are dogged by several problems like terrorism, conversion, infiltration of Bangladeshis and so on, hence choosing the right person as the leader of this country, especially one who defends Hindutva and protects the Hindu religion, is our responsibility. Hindu politicians who came to power forgot their promise of building the Ram Mandir and safeguarding Hindutva," he added.

He further said, "India is rich in natural resources but corrupt politicians have looted the country. We should have the agenda of building a Hindu Rashtra, which means a way of living that gives importance to all living beings. A revolution is essential to form a Hindu Rashtra and if the revolution happens, we can achieve this goal by 2023."

Lakshmi Pai said, "We need to contemplate over the problems facing Hindu religion. We failed to retaliate against the attack on Hindus. Our history has been twisted; we have even forgotten our own history. The saffron colour of Bhagavad Dhwaja is a symbol of sacrifice.

"Great personalities such as V D Savarkar, Bhagat Singh, Lokamanya Tilak are depicted as 'terrorists' in NCERT school text books. Innocent Hindus are booked under false allegations of spreading terror. Hindu sentiments are deliberately hurt by slaughtering the cow. Hence it is time for Hindus to work towards preserving the Hindu culture, heritage and spirituality of this nation," she added.

On this occasion Anantha Madhav Kamath and advocate Ramdas Nayak expressed their views on issues facing Hindu religion.

Kuntaru Ravish Tantri was present on this occasion.

India for Indians, every born individual citizen is born with Indian citizenship. Indians can practice any religion they wish to. These politicians are crooks, seek bribes and garnish votes and violence by inciting communal riots, division, and misunderstanding, for their selfish gains, with no interest in the people. The people shall raise against such politicians and shall stamped out, arrest for treason against the country's constitution, which promotes secularism, giving moral and legal rights to all people equally. To incite "Hindue Rastra", is like seeking division of India North and South or East and West. India shall remain as one country, and shall be called "India". Those who do not like it or promote that constitution shall leave to the moon or a different universe and may establish their ills elsewhere. Let India remain India for all the Indians.

Mr. Gowda, instead of using Hindu religion as a tool to garner votes, if you had said all Indians are one and walk together in peace and harmony, you would have gained more respect. The day corruption and communalism vanishes from Indian politics, India will be the most developed and most powerful country in the world. No politician and community leader, including this Gowda truly loves and cares religion, but, only greedy for popularity, power and wealth. Those who truly love their religion, will never misguide people, but, preaches love, care, peace, unity and religious tolerance. Jai Hind. Nowadays, people have been brainwashed on a daily basis to create rift between religions and such people in fact damage their religion more than protecting it. Jai Hind.

Don't you enjoy full religious freedom in that Islamic country ? Don't you think rulers and people of that country are more religious tolerant than our own people ? Wish our illiterate HJS Gowda learns something from Arabs instead of poisoning the minds of Hindu people for his selfish gain.

Tomorrow, if a Muslim organization request for conducting another extremist view of their religion in their college, will the SDM authority will allow them?

In India, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, jains and all religions are safe as its a secular country. No religion is at risk or facing any problems. If any religions face problems its not because of outsiders, but because of its own followers and by its own clegies who preach perverted and deviated messages..India is mahan and India belongs all Indians and not only for Hindus...India is made up of Hindus, Muslims, Christians, etc. etc. India is a unity with diversity. It's a concept and its a pleasure... How many festivals we all celebrate in a year being Indians.. What a colorful living we have.. Why then these fanatics divides us in the name of religion by making unfounded statement. Every religion will survive because of its good followers and good teachings...

This person is making a politically motivated statement. The Hindus are the majority in this country. Hinduism has survived and flourished in India for hundreds of years, even without the help of any political party. What's more is that Hinduism has moved beyond the shores of India to many foreign countries. Hindus and Hinduism is strong enough to face any challenge. Even foreign invaders could not make any serious dent. So it is quite clear the statement made by the HJS spokesperson is purely politically motivated to favor a certain party to polarize voters.

There were communal riots, attacks on places of worship by BJP goonda subsidiaries and they did not do anything to help poor hindus or any other people from other communities. All they did was to loot the state. Hinduism has never been under threat by anyone else but from idiots like these guys who take some money from some interested politicians and talk rubbish and disturb the peace and tranquility of our place.

Dominated by so called upper cast only talk about Kashmir Pandits who are only appearing during the election. Protection of faith is not the main agenda of a common citizen of India. Equality, impartiality, job security and right to exist is what common man looking for. India is being sanatan majority nation since history. Irrespective of many rulers belongs to a different faith ruled this country for 1000 years, not poisoned as much as since 100 years of RSS agenda. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti concern for the well being of Hindus is fine,
    Understandable.
But speaking about conversion? When they too are actively into conversion activities in the democratic world?
If HJS feels propagating faith is wrong, then why are they propagating?
I do then fine, others do then sin?
Why then Russia had mooted to Ban Bhagwat Geeta for uncontrolled propagation?
Of course, banning Geeta is wrong as in Russia, for citizens have the fundamental right to practice religion of their choice.

Some leaders in BJP often tell the public that Hinduism is the way of life. Some extreme right wing leaders are saying the Hinduism is a religion. I believe that all Indians are Hindus and Hinduism is the way of life. The RSS, HJV, SRS, RS, BD, and......so many other organizations are getting active only during elections.

This day, 24 years ago, Kashmiri Pandits began their exodus from the valley. The horror that doesn't stir a fraction of the anger, it should.24 years ago, the horror of January 19 was almost 24 hours away. But when it came, it forced all Kashmiri Pandits into exile. The night of January 19, 1990. The Kristallnacht of the Hindu minority in Kashmir. The night of the broken glass, night of horror. At 10 pm on this night 24 years ago, hundreds of thousands of people assembled in mosques in Kashmir. Frenzied mobs on streets. In the next few months, more than 700 innocent Kashmiri Hindus brutally murdered. Over 350,000 forced into exile. Jan 19 followed by brutal attacks on the Hindus all over. In Sopore, young girls jumped from windows to save themselves from violent mob.Scientist KL Ganjoo, wife Prana abducted as they just sat to break their fast. Ganjoo shot on the banks of Jhelum, Prana's body never found.Poet Sarwanand Kaul and his son taken away in south Kashmir. All valuables looted. Bodies found hanging a day later, nails dug in the forehead. In Shopian, a poor driver and his wife tied to a jeep and dragged to death. A Hindu neighbor cremated them later in own house. Not a single conviction in all the brutal murders of the Hindu minority in Kashmir. More than 600 temples vandalized, destroyed.

Yet for Congress Communal riots is only limited to 2002. This is Secular India.

Mr. Gowda, please do not lose sight of the fact that the terrorists do not single out persons of any particular religion and please do not fool the people by saying that only Hindus are being targeted. A bomb does not go in search of only Hindus or people of any one caste. It does not differentiate between Hindus or Muslims or Christians or any other religion. Whoever it finds in its way, irrespective of religion, is blown up.

So please stop hoodwinking the people by saying that only Hindus are being attacked. It is as clear as daylight that your purpose is only to garner Hindu votes on the eve of the elections. We are all Indians first and our religion comes much later. Let us not divide the nation on the basis of religion and caste. And remember, patriotism is not the monopoly of RSS.
