Dubai: Udyavarites association celebrates anniversary with 'Fiesta'

Dubai, Jan 20: ‘Udyavarites’, an association of Udyavar parishioners residing in UAE, celebrated 'Fiesta 2014' at Avenue Hotel here on Friday January 17. The annual event marked the 14th anniversary of Udyavarites.
Over the last 14 years the association has been successfully fulfilling its mission of promoting unity, generosity and rendering service. These events are means of strengthening the bonds between Udyavar parishioners, their families and friends.
The programme commenced with a Hymn sung by talented kids followed by Bible reading. President of the association Gilbert D’sa warmly welcomed the audience. He thanked the sponsors and well-wishers for supporting and strengthening Udyavarites for the last 14 years and requested them to continue their generosity in future. He said their gesture has encouraged the committee members to work hard and provide educational and medical help to the needy back home in Udyavar and thus, fulfill their objectives.
The entertainment was a potboiler of skits, dances, live music, songs, spot prizes and much more. Live music and songs were performed by Tushaara, Monica Valdar, Fabella and supported by many other singers. Veteran team of artistes comprising Joacky, Veena, Robert, Jeffery and Vivian presented hilarious skits and captivated the audience with laughter. Special Bollywood remix dance was performed by Udyavarites men, Rock n Roll group. Natasha, Andrea, Elisha, Elena and Jevica performed an enthralling dance. The event was interspersed with many spot prizes and audience showed good interest and participation.
Renowned MC and compere Uttam Menezes managed the complete show with great finesse and ensured good entertainment. As usual Lotto draw was arranged by Raphael D'Souza and vote of thanks was given by Jennifer. Avenue Hotel management and staff served sumptuous lunch buffet and satiated the taste buds of all including good service to everyone’s satisfaction.
The audience of about 170 completely enjoyed the show and gave encouraging reviews. Udyavarites president and committee members thanked one and all for their continuous support.
