Scanner can do whole body application for Neurology, Ortho imaging, Angiography, Body Imaging including MRCP, Breast imaging, Oncology, Cardiac Imaging including patented VCG (vector cardiogram) triggering and Pediatric Imaging. High channel count dedicated coils for superb quality & speed to achieve a complete diagnostic evaluation of the brain and spine in less than 20 minutes. The Scanner also offers advanced applications including Brain and Body Diffusion and perfusion as well as fiber tractography and Cardiac imaging.

SIEMENS 128 Slice Perspective CT scanner:This is one of the newest high-end, state of the art CT scanners in the world. It has the most advanced innovative technologies that increase the diagnostic confidence while significantly reducing the patient’s dose boosting reliability and reproducibility.

The CT scanner integrates innovative technologies designed to cover routine imaging and also advanced applications in Trauma (including advanced 3D reconstruction), Cardiac (including screening calcium score and coronary CT Angiography) as well as Neurovascular imaging.

The increased number of slices enables scanning of up to half a meter in 5 seconds at an ultrahigh resolution. This means that the time when patient holds his breath during the scan is very low. This is especially useful for very sick and elderly patients. Rapid full – body trauma imaging is possible without compromising on the image quality. Overall a faster scan translates to speedy diagnosis and shorter waiting time for patients and attendants.

3D Mammography - A revolutionary approach to mammography

Fujifilm’s 3D Mammography creates 3D images by using two high resolution images taken from different angles. One of these images is a conventional 2D image. The images are presented on a special viewer. 3D images enable the internal anatomical breast structures to be identified more clear than in a 2D image sue to tissue separation and micro calcifications stratification with this system, it is expected that image interpretations is as quick  or even quicker than 2D mammography and false positives are reduced.

Services Offered in GMC Hospital Radiology Department:

The latest facilities include • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) • 128 Slice Computed Tomography (MDCT Scan) • 4 D Ultrasound • Color Doppler • Digital Mammography • Bone Mineral Densitometry (DEXA BMD) • X Ray • OPG (Panorama-Cephalometry) and • Mobile X Ray. Highly trained and licensed professionalsperform these imaging tests. Once the images are ready, they are reviewed and interpreted by a Certified Specialist Radiologist who reports the findings.
