Kundapur, May 16: Shashidhar Hemmadi, a n ice-cream parlour owner and secretary of Kundapur taluk journalists' body, was assaulted in his parlour.

The assailant is also said to have carried away a refrigerator from there.

The assailant is said to be an ice-cream distributor from Uppunda. Hemmadi reportedly found a spider in the ice-supplied and brought it to the notice of the distributor.

Enraged by this, the distributor is said to have physically assaulted Hemmadi, who has now filed a complaint with the Kundapur police.

The Kundapur scribes' community has condemned the attack on Hemmadi, their office-bearer.
