Mangalore, May 16: Leading jewelers Malabar Gold will open its new showroom on Thursday, May 18.

The showroom located at Fortune Building at Falnir road, which is the 11th outlet of Malabar Gold, will be inaugurated by Malayalam cine actor Mohan Lai.

This was disclosed by  Malabar Group of Companies chairman M P Ahmed in a press meet here on Monday.

The exclusive showroom will showcase one of the largest collections of jewellery in gold, platinum and diamonds from India and across the globe and international brand names like Rado, Omega, Tissot and Longines.

Started with certain NRI alliance in 1993, the company intends   to   have   at   least   18 branches by the end of 2006. It has already opened outlets in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Calicut, Tirur, Kannur, Thalassery, Kasargod, Palakkad, Manjeri and Thrissur.

Showrooms will also be opened at Trivandrum, Ernakulam,  Kodungallur, Badagara, Perinthalmanna, Sultan Battery and Kanhangad shortly, he said.

Malabar Mangalore Arcade (P) Ltd managing director Sabeer N, directors Karunakaran, Eddin Mohammed Mogal and company secretary Ashique were present at the press meet.
