Beltangady, May 16: A young man was killed after an autorickshaw he was travelling turned turtle at Kuvettu near Guruvayankere on Monday May 15.
The deceased has been identified as Imtiaz, a resident of Chilimbi near here. He was going to Madantyar from Guruvayankere on an autorickshaw along with his father Ibrahim when the rickshaw turned turtle at a steep curve at Kuvettu.
As a result Imtiaz was thrown out of the rickshaw and got stuck underneath the rickshaw and sustained serious injuries. He was immediately admitted to government hospital here. But he succumbed to the injuries later.
His father Ibrahim and rickshaw driver Abdul Jaleel too have sustained injuries in the accident. Imtiaz has two little kids. He used prepare some sweets and snacks at home and sell them.
A complaint has been filed in the Beltangady police station in this regard.
