Upset with low key welcome, BS Yeddyurappa stays aloof

Bangalore, Jan 25 (DC / DHNS) : Former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa is reportedly unhappy with the ‘cold’ treatment he has received after returning to the  BJP and has  decided to distance himself from party activities and also stay away from the ongoing session of  the state legislature.

But with his followers advising  him to attend the session,  he could make  a token appearance in the House  on Monday, according to sources close to him.  However  his absence at the core committee meeting on Wednesday was deliberate, they reveal.

Interestingly, the former Chief Minister is said to have  advised his followers not to celebrate his return to the BJP with a  rally in Davanagere as planned,  telling them they could participate in such rallies if they were held by the party itself.

Besides the low key welcome he has received both from the BJP’s state and central leadership, Yeddyurappa is believed to be upset at not being treated as a decision- maker within the party.
The former Chief Minister is also said to  be apprehensive about the  lack of clarity in the state BJP over how it should go about fighting the coming Lok Sabha elections.

“On attending a recent RSS meeting in Bengaluru, he realised that the state BJP  leadership had no specific plan for the Lok Sabha elections and was relying on  Modi magic to rescue it  in the state,” say sources close to him, adding that unless the party’s central leadership intervenes to set things right on this front, he is not keen on working hard for it in the run-up to these elections. Yeddyurappa  is also said to be troubled by the discontent among state party leaders and is hoping its national leaders will take note of it before it is too late.

Ashwath for B’lore North?

The BJP is contemplating fielding the sitting MLA from Malleswaram C N Ashwathnarayana from Bangalore North Lok Sabha constituency. The names of two senior party leaders R Ashoka and D V Sadananda Gowda were making the rounds for the same seat. At present, it is represented by D B Chandre Gowda, who is unlikely to be fielded again.

Party sources said Ashwathnarayana may emerge as the consensus candidate. Ashwathnarayana is learnt to have started seeking feedback from party workers in the constituency on his candidature.

If congress took 50 years to loot Karnataka then BJP took just 5 years to break Congs record. BJP , by far is the worst government to have ruled Karnataka and our Mangalore MP - Nalin is just a reflection of BJP's disastrous and hopeless regime.

Even if Modi will be a PM he will still be surrounded by "Chaalis Chor's" like Yeddy and his Chaddis.

This man was responsible for the mayhem caused during BJP regime deserved to be kicked. It was under his regime that Churches were attacked and minorities tormented. Mangaloreans cannot forgive him and his lunatic followers. I think its time to file a case against him and his mother party for encouraging communalism.

Surely, BJP needs Yeddie's influence and clout over voters, to gain in the Lok Sabha polls that too, not to devide them, and allow to repeat the 2013 Assembly results.
As per the formula chalked out, Yeddie's group wants 10 nominees from their side and 18 from the other. Now, insiders say, only FIVE can be accomodated. Of course it is all about POWER POLITICS. Yeddie is smart enough to understand, now or never to get the maximum...He also realised by now, it is not the same BJP, he was once part of and dictating terms while on the CM's seat of power.
BJP has a single point programme NOT TO DEVIDE VOTES IN Karnataka, hence enacting the drama of Yeddie joining the bandwagon, whose heart and soul elsewhere. Yeddie never enjoy, dream of the repute of yesteryears, in BJP for sure.

The BJP never really invited Yeddy. They just want to use him in the hope of getting some seats in Karnataka for the LS 2014 polls. After that he may get dumped again depending on the results in Karnataka. The only key Yeddy can expect now from the BJP is the 'Key to the Exit Door'.

Yediyurappas present actions reminds us the time of Ms Mamatha Benarjis days during the NDA era from 99- 2004.

she used to get in of NDA and get out of NDA whenever she wanted like a city Bus travel.

This is the right time to Congress in the State to concentrate on developmental agenda and nullify the effect of yediyurappa in forth coming general elections.

Earlier there was only one leader "YEDDYURAPPA" in BJP. You had supreme power. Your decision was ultimatum those days. Now BJP has many leaders like DVS, Joshi, Shettar, Ananth, Ashoka etc. Gone are the good days of supremacy. Since you went out and came back, you have lost some VALUE in the party. Don't expect the original respect and treatment. Now you need to be more flexible. Hope BJP will make you POLL CAMPAIGN HEAD soon.
