Udupi, May 17: Hike in LPG prices may not be a concern to the common man anymore as Vijayakumar Hegde, a researcher, has invented a device that can help save cooking gas by over 50 per cent.
Speaking to press persons here, Hegde informed that the invention and its details have already been sent to authorities concerned to procure patent rights. All government heads, ministers and leading scientists CNR Rao, R R Rao and APJ Abdul Kalam have been given details of the invention, he said.
The invention converts extra flame into steam which lessens carbon emission significantly. This also reduces health hazards, he said.
Households, hotels, caterers, ayurvedic medicine manufacturers and other consumers of cooking gas will benefit from the invention.
