New Delhi, May 17: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has declared the ICSE and ISC results.

Nearly 1,500 schools in the country and abroad are affiliated to the Council.

A total of 94 per cent students have passed the class XII exam.

As has been the trend in recent years, girls have managed to upstage boys.

"Results are comparable to last year's results. The class X results are slightly better and class XII results are at par with 2005 results," said Rita Wilson, Deputy Secretary, CISCE.

Nearly 96 per cent girls have cleared the class XII exam as compared to 91.64 per cent boys.

For class X, girls again did better than boys with nearly 97 per cent girls clearing it compared to around 95 per cent boys.
