Kuwait : ‘Gutthi’ Sunil Grover to entertain at Indian Carnival

Kuwait, Jan 27:  Hot Stepper, the entertainment wing of the Creative Indians Association’s is now all set to host another extravaganza 'Indian Carnival 2014' to be held on 31st January 2014 at American International School, Maidan Hawally- Kuwait from 6:30pm onwards promises to be full of laughter, music and entertainment for one and all.  This year, the event will feature the famous Indian actor and standup comedian Sunil Grover of ‘Gutthi’ fame who is sure to send audience into peals of laughter. Famous Musicians Sharib Sabri & Toshi Sabri along with Neha Takkar who won India's hearts in the famed reality show Indian Idol will be entertaining with their musical bonanza.

SUNIL GROVER (GUTTHI)

Sunil Grover  is an Indian actor and stand-up comedian born in Dabwali, Sirsa, Haryana in a Punjabi Hindu family. He did his schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir, Dabwali and B.Com from Guru Nanak College. He has done his masters in Theatre fromChandigarh. He is well known for playing the role of Fakira in recent Bollywood movie ‘Zila Ghaziabad’.   Sunil Grover has been part of the industry for over a decade now.  After having done local theatre for some time, he started his career with Jaspal Bhatti and later ventured out on his own. Sunil's television career began as a movie jockey in the show ‘Challa Lallan Hero Banane’ on the movie channel Filmy. He was the brand ambassador for the channel for a while. Later he went on to host ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Fail Champu Hain?’ and ‘Kaun Banega Champu’ on Sahara Filmy. He also hosted the popular comedy show ‘Hans Baliye’ with Gaurav Gera and later on ‘Dekh Video Dekh’ on Colors, and plenty of television award shows.  He hosts the big star entertainment award in 2014.  Grover acted in India's first silent show on SAB TV's ‘Gutur Gu’ in the initial 26 episodes. He was part of the standup comedy show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ and became immensely popular playing the fictional character ‘Gutthi’.

TOSHI SABRI  - SHARIB SABRI

Winning the hearts of the nation through their stint on a reality TV show, Sharib & Toshi became the most sought after musicians in Bollywood. Having composed and sung the blockbuster track Maahi Maahi from ‘Raaz 2’ & other Bollywood films like Jail, Jashnn, Yamla pagla deewana2 and now recent hit track kabhi jo badal barse from the film ‘Jackpot’.  The duo have also release their non Bollywood album ‘French Kiss’ which is doing exceptionally well all over.

“Sharib & Toshi are powerhouse singers. They specialize in many genres. Sharib rose to fame when he became a contestant on the popular reality show Saregamapa in 2005 & Toshi followed him soon when he became a contestant on Star Plus's ‘Voice of India’. The brothers have carved a niche for themselves & have managed to create a loyal fan base.  “Sharib & Toshi have fans all over the world, especially hailing from Middle East, Pakistan & UK. These fans have been following the duo from the beginning of their musical career. To connect more closely with their fans, the duo decided to come up with something different and the result was the album French Kiss. The album is a mix of Hip Hop, Dance, Sufi & Romantic songs & consists of 5 OSTs & 1 remix.  Other upcoming releases of theirs are Vikram Bhatt’s 1920, Anubhav sinha's 2 untitled films. They are also planning to launch a single in collaboration with a Grammy award winner popular artist later this year.
 
NEHA KAKKAR

Neha Kakkar is an Indian playback-singer, dancer and actor. She came to prominence through the television reality show 'Indian Idol'.  She has appeared in other television shows such as "Jo jeeta wohi superstar" (Starplus) along with previous Indian Idols Abhijeet Sawant and Ishmeet, "Comedy Circus" (Sony). She offered playback singing for Sukhwinder Singh's "Meerabai Not Out", Honey Singh's single "SATAN" and a title song for the television series "Naa aana iss des Laado" (Colors). She has received acknowledgements from Shahrukh Khan for her “SHAHRUKH KHAN ANTHEM” on Youtube.  Her bollywood projects include "Sunny Sunny" from movie Yaariyan(2014), "Botal Khol" from movie"Prague”(2013), "Jadoo Ki Jhappi" from movie “Ramaiya Vastavaiya”(2013), "Dhating Naach" from movie “Phata poster Nikla Hero”(2013), "Second Hand Jawani” from “Cocktail”(2012), "Woh Ek Pal" from “Not a love story”(2011), "Bareilly Ke Bazzar Mein Remix" from “Jail”(2009), "Blue theme" from “Blue”(2009), and "Hai Rama" from “Meerabai not out”(2009).

She has already performed in more than a 1000 live gigs and is daring to go for a million more. Undoubtedly, one of the finest performers this country has seen in a long time, Neha was one of the most popular Indian Idol contestants as well.

    Indian comedy industry is filled with cross dressing male comedians. Most of the jokes are vulgar and insensitive. These type comedy lose its fun after watching it once.

    Its high time they put ban on cross dressing male comedians. its look really bad.
