Indian worker killed in UAE

Dubai, Jan 28 (IANS): A 24-year-old Indian worker died after falling from the eighth floor of an under-construction building in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The accident took place Sunday at around 2.30 p.m. in Al Mamzar area, the Khaleej Times reported Tuesday.

Police have confirmed the death and have sent the body for post-mortem.

Police urged the engineers and construction workers to take all safety procedures at their work sites in order to avoid similar accidents.
