Mangalore, May 18: A railway employee was found dead in mysterious circumstances in a water tank near his room in the railway guest house here on Thursday May 18 morning.

B K Narayanan (52) was an employee with the railway department.  On Thursday morning he was found dead in the water tank near his room.  Though police it is said to be an accidental death, a few wounds on his body have given rise to suspicion.

He was found smoking till late on Wednesday May 17 night by his neighbours.  But on Thursday his dead body was found in the nearby water tank.  The police say that Narayanan who was an alcoholic might have fallen into the water tank and died later without being able to come up.

But the neighbours and those who have known Narayanan for long are of the opinion that he might have been murdered and later pushed into the tank.  Wounds and bloodstains on his body too indicate the same.

But nothing can be confirmed till the autopsy report arrives.  The railway police have registered a complaint in this regard.
