Mangalore, May 19: BJP national president Rajnath Singh on Friday May 19 afternoon inaugurated the new office of the district BJP, near PVS Circle.

The new and spacious building replaces the old, small tiled building which was serving as BJP's party office for long.  It was in this small office that BJP had started its political journey in the district about a couple of decades ago.  The old building was reminiscent of the way BJP planted its foot in the district.

However, a couple of decades have rolled on since and today BJP is the prime political force in the undivided district of the Dakshina Kannada with maximum MLAs and MPs representing the party in the state as well as national level.

So the new building denotes the way the party has grown in the past few years.  The building has all the necessary and basic amenities within it including the resting place.  But the office has been opened at a time when nothing is going on well in BJP right at the national level.

So one has to wait and see whether the "New Office" would give a 'new lease of life' to the party as well.

BJP state president D Sadanand Gowda, deputy chief minister B S Yediyurappa, former union minister Ananthakumar, start minister Nagaraj Shetty and other office bearers of BJP were also present on the occasion.
