Mangalore, May 19: Mangalore Akashvani has been conferred with the Excellence Award-2005-06 for the best implementation of national language in its programmes.
Corporation bank chairman V Sambamurthy who is also the president of Hindi Implementation Committee presented the prestigious award to Mangalore Akashvani director Vasanat Kumar Perla.
Mangalore Akashvani has been bagging this award for the last 10 years continuously. So the director was given a special award on the occasion. The award presentation ceremony was held at the Corporation Bank main office here.
