Indian man beheaded in Saudi Arabia

Dubai, Jan 31 (IANS): An Indian national, convicted of murdering his sponsor in Saudi Arabia, has been executed, media reported citing the country's interior ministry Friday.

Muhammad Latif was beheaded in the country's capital Riyadh Thursday after he was convicted by a court of killing his sponsor Dhafir Al-Dossari by hitting him with an iron pipe during a dispute and then hiding the body in an abandoned well.

The court had earlier postponed the execution because the sons of the sponsor were minors and waited till they were old enough to agree with the verdict.

    Dear Santan,
Do you know whether He killed the sponsor in Self Defense. Please Don't assume things.Kindly recheck the meaning of word convict in Shariah LAW.There is a difference between thinking about Law and knowing it,The Ideology of this Law is simple "Eye for an Eye" and may be barbaric. If you implement Practical law you will Practical Results, unlike other Countries Where in People die out of old age and no justice is attained by the victim in the name of judicial proceedings.

Though the law is stringent,KSA is the country which has least crime rates. Why should any victim suffer for lusts of others soul.
A minor has Raped a woman and adjudged to be Set Free only because of his minor.

The mental circumstances should be considered at the cost of Victims life.??The Victims life is far more important than any mental circumstances excepting self defense.

Ask a Girl who is Raped ,or victim who is harassed or tortured or their Family ones.Put them in their shoes and you ll Realize.

Generally the Law is ideal Except in Exceptions For which there should be appropriate law.

Picking up Exceptions like self defense ,mental circumstances cannot be taken as a general example.

Saudi govt strictly follows Shariah law. I think in this law, they do not consider whether the murder was committed under what circumstances, what was the mental condition of the man or whether the murder was in self defense. However, beheading is very barbaric. I remember two other utions. One was on 1st day of Hijra 1400, a group of Saudi boys entered Grand Mosque in Mecca and d something, which was considered blasphemy. Later they all were uted by the order from King Khalid. 2nd incidence is where a Filipino was beheaded just like the Indian, some years ago and it was shown on TV. After it was broadcast, immediately, a Saudi who was on vacation in Manila (not related to beheading) was killed there in retaliation.
