Dubai, Feb 8: “Helping Hands are better than Praying Lips” – with this motto in mind, Melody Makers Music  and Fine Arts Center, Dubai presented “Music with Meaning 2014” at the Sh. Rashid  Auditorium, Indian High School, Dubai on Friday, 7th February 2014.  A unique concept of talent and charity by the students of Melody Makers to raise funds for Dubai Autism Center.

While showcasing their talents in front of a large audience, students as little as 7 year old to teenagers left no stone unturned in their effort and enthusiasm to bring out the best in them and enthrall the audience leaving them spellbound. This concept is part of the social responsibility initiatives the students of Melody Makers have been taking since its inception in 1997.

The 3 hour show kick started around 5 pm with a welcome song cum speech lead by Ritvik and Rishita Prabhu and joined in chorus by the vocal team of Melody Makers that rendered the message “Fill Up the Night With Music”.  Hansraaj Shetty, RJ, 89.1 Radio 4 FM carried the show filling the auditorium with humour and life.  Students demonstrated their talent and learning in music, singing, dance and drama in a way that was too good to be true.  Music Instruments included Electronic Keyboards, Guitars and Violins.  There were orchestral items like the title track of “Mission Impossible”, “Om Shanthi Om”, “Foot Loose” etc.  Art work of some the the art students were on display, a feast for everyone’s eyes.  Various forms of dance like Kathak, Bharathnatyam, Hindi Folk, Bollywood and Western were presented with perfection using costumes that matched every form of dance. The concert finale was a group song titled “Foot Loose” by the vocal team of Melody Makers which was accompanied by young music students on the keyboards and dancers dressed in western country outfits. The musicians, singers and dancers kept the audience moving to the beat – a finale that was memorable and worth watching.

This event was sponsored by some of the well known corporates like Fabtech, Carbone Clinic, Lloyds Register, Danube, UAE Exchange, MSI Alnoman & Ravi Chartered Accountants, Vision Art Optics Llc, Dunes Hotel Apartments, Digital Eye Studio and Daijiworld.com.  The entire net proceeds of the show was handed over to Dubai Autism Center by Tareq Bin Khalifa, the local sponsor of Melody Makers.

All in all, “Music With Meaning 2014” was a show of talent, confidence, hard work coupled with a sense of care and share.
