Dubai: 'Nirel' - First premiere sold out, tickets for second show on sale

Dubai, Feb 9: After successfully completing the year-long movie project, the Nirel movie team has another reason to rejoice. The team is happy that all tickets for the premiere show have sold out one week before the show.
“We are really amazed at the response we got for the premiere show. We have been getting lots of calls for tickets and we are delivering them to their homes. It is all because of their love towards their mother tongue. We hope to fill up the 2nd show too which is at 1:30 pm," says producers.
Speaking on the instant demand for tickets, the producers add, “It was a challenge to fill up the huge theater, but people watched the promo of the movie and they have high hopes on its quality. So the premiere show got sold out as soon as we launched the tickets. We do not want to disappoint the fans who call up for tickets, so we can allocate a few tickets which we had reserved for our team. Hence we started online booking for people who wish to book tickets."
Having received positive remarks about their acting and performance in 'Nirel', the leading actors of the movie Anoop Sagar, Varuna Shetty and Deepthi Salian are riding high on confidence and are sure that the public would love their performances on screen. Though Varuna Shetty has acted in a Tamil movie and in a Malayalam movie with Mohanlal, she is thrilled about her first Tulu movie 'Nirel'.
For the first time, a Tulu movie will be screened at Golden Cinemas in Bur Dubai, which has 1,500 seating capacity. It is the largest single screen theater at Dubai. “It will be like watching a movie in Mangalore. I am waiting to witness the cheer of thousands of Tulu movie lovers and want to enjoy that moment,” says a confident Deepak Paladka, who has earned high praise from the post production team for his acting skills. Deepak Paladka who is known for his lead comedy roles in many comedy shows in Dubai and India is ready to entertain the movie lovers along with Subhash Chitrapura, who is also a stage artiste.
The entire movie has been shot in beautiful locations of Gulf countries. The promo of the movie is already a success and viewed by more than 12,000 people and still counting. The team is planning to release the song promo at the earliest. As audio songs have already become a hit in the market, visuals will add more flavour to the songs. Abhishek S N, the music director of 'Nirel' has also scored the background music for the movie.
Movie stars Anoop Sagar, Varuna Shetty, Deepthi Salian, Sachin Padil, Deepak Paladka, Subhash Bangera, Anand Salian, Claudy D Leema, Rajendra Pai, Jameel, Vidya, Nindhiya, Ashwini Santhosh, Sandhya Prasad, Veera Rodrigues, Vishwapathi Bhat, Nithyananda Beskoor and others have acted in the movie. Art direction is by Rajneesh Amin, assistant directors are Sachin Padil, Neha Bangera and Ramya Rajneesh Amin. Lyrics are by Rajneesh Amin, Loku Kudla and Sitaram Kulal. Editing is by Ashwath Samuel, and DOP by Mani Kookal. Story and screenplay are by Karthik Gowda. The movie has been directed by Ranjith Bajpe and jointly produced by Shodhan Prasad and San Poojary.
Movie features Sandalwood actor Ramesh Aravind in a guest role and also Dubai based Mangaloren model Ria D'Souza in a special appearance. Ria recently acted in the Bollywood movie "Kamasutra 3D" which is ready for release.
'Nirel', the first international Tulu movie, will hit the screens on Friday February 14. There will be a premiere show at 10:30 pm and one more show at 1:30 pm at Golden Cinemas. The theater is at Bur Dubai, near Carrefour shopping center and Bus Stand.
